Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/April 24 : In a special interaction conducted by senior journalist Daljit Ajnoha, ATO Sandeep Bharti shared important information regarding the process of obtaining a driving licence.
During the conversation, Sandeep Bharti stated that the driving test track in Hoshiarpur has been operational since 2012 and is regularly upgraded as per government guidelines. With the introduction of new technologies and software updates, the process has been made more streamlined and transparent.
He further informed that the Government of India’s Ministry of Road Transport and Highways provides online services through the Sarathi Parivahan and Vahan Parivahan portals. Citizens can access these platforms to get complete information about the required documents and apply for licences conveniently.
He added that any individual aged 18 years or above is eligible to apply for a driving licence, while those aged 16 years can apply for a learner’s licence, which permits them to drive low-capacity two-wheelers.
Sandeep Bharti also highlighted that awareness classes on traffic rules are conducted to educate people about road safety and help prevent accidents.
In conclusion, he appealed to the public to strictly follow traffic rules while on the road to ensure their own safety as well as that of others.
