Una/Daljeet Ajnoha /August 13 : Senior journalist Daljeet Singh Ajnoha interacted with SP Una Sachin Hiramath IPS regarding the arrangements for the Mata Chintpurni Mela, which began today. During the interaction, SP Sachin Hiramath said that comprehensive arrangements have been put in place to ensure a smooth, safe and hassle-free pilgrimage for devotees.
He said Quick Response Teams (QRTs) have been deployed both inside and outside the temple campus to deal with any emergency situation promptly. Special anti-chain-snatching teams have also been deployed to ensure the safety of devotees and prevent incidents of theft during the mela.
SP Hiramath said that more than 350 police personnel and Home Guards have been deployed for mela duty. The entire security arrangement has been divided into seven sectors, with personnel assigned specific responsibilities in each sector.
He further said that special instructions have been issued to the organisers of langars to ensure proper management, discipline and smooth movement of devotees around the langar sites. Bike patrolling teams will also conduct regular patrolling at different locations to maintain security and keep a close watch on the movement of devotees.
SP Sachin Hiramath appealed to devotees to cooperate with the police and administration, follow the prescribed routes and instructions, and immediately report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
The interaction highlighted the preparedness of the Una Police and administration to ensure that devotees visiting Mata Chintpurni during the mela can undertake their pilgrimage in a secure and peaceful environment.
