Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/August 14 : MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa today inaugurated a tube well constructed at a cost of ₹30 lakhs in Ward No. 27, New Deep Nagar.
Dedicating the tube well to the memory of late Councilor Gurmeet Kaur, Jimpa highlighted her life dedicated to social service and praised the Hundal family for continuing her legacy. He expressed gratitude to Avtar Singh Dhami for providing land for the tube well.
The MLA noted that the residents of New Deep Nagar had long faced water scarcity, which this tube well aims to alleviate. He emphasized that the project was completed with transparency and quality in mind, addressing local needs.
Jimpa thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for his leadership, under which Punjab is progressing towards development. He informed that over 25 new tube wells have been installed in the city by the Municipal Corporation in the past three years, significantly improving water supply in various areas.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mayor Surinder Kumar, Councilor Pradeep Bittu, District Media Incharge Kulwinder Singh Hundal, Kishan, Davinder Billu, Subhash Chandra, Rajinder Singh, Lal Singh, Pritam Das, Som Nath, Charanjeet, Sudesh Rani, Dalvir Kaur, Ravinder Kumar, and other dignitaries.
