Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/May 2 : Rigvediya Purvamanya Puri Peethadheeshwar Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Nischalanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj delivered a profound discourse on “Rashtra Utkrishti” (National Excellence) at a religious assembly today, outlining a clear roadmap for the nation’s progress, security, and glory.
The Shankaracharya clarified that a nation is not merely a piece of land or a collection of borders—it is a “living entity” whose soul resides in its culture. He emphasized that true excellence is impossible until citizens reconnect with their roots and eternal Sanatan values. Commenting on the current education system, Maharaj Shri stated that education focused solely on livelihood is incomplete. For national excellence, education must build character, instill pride in one’s dharma and homeland, and strike a balance between science and spirituality.
Stressing economic independence as essential for national progress, he urged the promotion of swadeshi (indigenous) products and local skills. According to him, India will reclaim its position as the world guru only when it harnesses its intellect and resources for self-upliftment.
Maharaj Shri also shed light on the nation’s internal and external security. He asserted that social harmony and adherence to scriptural norms alone can prevent societal fragmentation. No nation can become powerful without unity. National excellence occurs when rulers govern in accordance with dharma and citizens remain duty-bound. When politics deviates from dharma, the nation’s downfall is inevitable. India must return to the Vedas to build a prosperous and secure nation.
