One-Day National Seminar on “Integration

Hoshiarpur/March 15/Daljeet Ajnoha :  The District Institute of Education & Training (DIET), Hoshiarpur, in collaboration with the Swami Sarvanand Giri Punjab University Regional Centre, organized a highly successful one-day national seminar on the theme “Integration of NEP 2020 in Technical & Professional Education : Challenges & Opportunities.” The seminar took place o at Swami Sarvanand Giri Punjab University Regional Centre,and brought together an impressive number of educators, researchers, and professionals from across the country.
The seminar, held in both online and offline modes, witnessed an overwhelming participation, with a total of 171 presentations. These presentations were delivered by academicians, professionals, and students who shared their valuable insights on the integration of professional and technical education under the framework of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The seminar was inaugurated by Mr. Avinash Rai Khanna, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. His presence added significant value to the event, highlighting the importance of aligning technical education with professional needs in the evolving education landscape. Dr. Surinder Sharma from Himachal University delivered the keynote address, sharing expert views on the challenges and opportunities presented by the NEP 2020.The event was meticulously coordinated under the guidance of the Convener, Dr. Shikha Sharma, and the Organizing Secretary, Dr. Ritu Kumra, both of whom ensured the smooth conduct of the seminar. Other key members of the organizing team included Dr. Arjuna, Mr. Ankur Sood, andMs. Baljeer Kaur, Mr. Dilbag singh all faculty members of DIET, Hoshiarpur. Their dedication and teamwork were instrumental in making the seminar a grand success.
Dr. Kumra announced the theme of the seminar & addressed the importance of a holistic education system, focusing on the seamless integration of professional and technical education to better prepare students for future careers. Various technical sessions of the seminar shed light on the challenges that educational institutions face and the potential opportunities available through the NEP 2020, particularly in fostering industry-academia collaborations. DIET Hoshiarpur is deeply obliged and thankful for the invaluable support extended by the Swami Sarvanand Giri Punjab University Regional Centre, whose contribution played a significant role in the success of the seminar. The guidance and cooperation of the Director PUSSGRC, Hoshiarpur, Mr. H.S. Bains, along with conveners of seminar Dr. Kamaya& Ms Savita Grover and the entire faculty team at the Punjab Regional Centre, were essential in making this event a resounding success. Their unwavering support, dedication, and collaborative efforts truly enriched the seminar and helped achieve its goals.
