Deputy Commissioner took stock of the arrangements by starting paddy procurement in Dana Mandi Hoshiarpur
Hoshiarpur : Oct7 : Daljeet Ajnoha – Paddy procurement process has started successfully in more than 13 mandis of the district from today. Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal formally inaugurated the procurement operations in Dana Mandi of Hoshiarpur and thoroughly inspected all the arrangements. She informed that smooth procurement of paddy will start in all the mandis of the district from Tuesday.
The Deputy Commissioner said that out of the total 65 mandis of the district, paddy procurement work has started today in Hoshiarpur, Nasrala, Phuglana, Mahilpur, Padddi Sura Singh, Bhaangala, Harsa Mansar, Kaulpur, Mukerian, Pandori, Dasuya, Naushera, Panjherkalan and other major mandis. She said that keeping in mind the convenience of the farmers, drinking water, shade and other necessary arrangements have been ensured in the mandis, so that they do not have to face any kind of trouble. Apart from procurement management in the mandis, the Deputy Commissioner has also ensured that all the arrangements are operated on time and smoothly.
She has appealed to the farmers to bring paddy to the mandis only according to the prescribed moisture standards and complete the harvesting work with the combine within the stipulated time limit. Referring to the orders issued earlier for harvesting paddy in the district, he said that the ban on harvesting with combine machines will remain in force from 7:00 pm to 10:00 am.
