Hoshiarpur/April 7/Daljeet Ajnoha : Deputy Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha Jai Krishan Singh Rouri today interacted with teachers, students and parents in 4 government schools under ‘Punjab Education Revolution’ and said that education is a priority area for the state government, which has changed the face of schools in Punjab. He said that works worth Rs 81.36 lakh were inaugurated today in four schools in Garhshankar constituency, which will provide better facilities to the students.
Inaugurating various completed works at Government Senior Secondary Smart School Birampur, Government High School Birampur, Government Elementary School Hajipur, Government Primary School Rampur Billon, Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Rouri said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, major strides have been made in the field of education in Punjab, which mainly include strengthening basic skills among students, timely change in teaching methods, mega parent-teacher meetings, training of principals, headmasters and teachers of the education department abroad. He said that with the aim of providing quality education, the establishment of Schools of Eminence and Schools of Brilliance, conversion of 425 primary schools into Schools of Happiness and modernizing the infrastructure in schools are being provided to the students.
Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Rouri, while inaugurating the works at Government Senior Secondary Smart School Birampur costing Rs. 51.97 lakh and Government High School Birampur costing Rs. 4.88 lakh, said that Birampur School is an example in the area in terms of infrastructure and is playing an important role in providing quality education to the students. Inaugurating the classrooms built at a cost of Rs. 7.51 lakh at Government Elementary School Hajipur, the Deputy Speaker said that there will be no shortage of any facility in government schools. Inaugurating the works at a cost of Rs. 17 lakh at Government Primary School Rampur, the Deputy Speaker appealed to the people that free facilities and quality education are being provided in government schools, in view of which people should educate maximum students in these schools.
