Hoshiarpur /Daljeet Ajnoha/May 24 : Punjab’s NRI and Prisons Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh inaugurated a new drinking-water tubewell in Tentpala village, which falls under the Shamchaurasi assembly constituency, and initiated construction of a new 2-kilometre road to strengthen basic amenities for villagers. He also handed over cheques for development works to the panchayats of Tentpala and Roda.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ravjot Singh said the Punjab government is fully committed to providing citizens with essential services. “Rural development is the government’s priority,” he said, adding that efforts are underway to ensure clean drinking water, better roads and other necessary facilities reach every village.
The minister said the new tubewell will supply clean water to residents and resolve the long-standing water shortage in the area. The new road will significantly ease travel for villagers and improve local connectivity.
Dr. Ravjot Singh credited Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s leadership for the rapid pace of development across Punjab. “Under the chief minister’s vision and people-centric policies, public welfare projects are being carried out in every constituency and village to improve citizens’ quality of life,” he said, adding that the government is delivering results on the ground to earn public trust.
He expressed special thanks to Chief Minister Mann and said the Punjab government aims to make every village a model village, and that efforts in this direction are ongoing.
Villagers present at the event thanked Dr. Ravjot Singh for the initiatives.
