Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/June 11 : Rayat Bahra Institute of Pharmacy, in collaboration with NITTTR Chandigarh, organized a week-long Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Effective Teaching Process through Social Media.”
Faculty members from various educational institutions actively participated in the programme, which was conducted under the guidance of Campus Director Dr. Chander Mohan. Subject experts delivered comprehensive sessions on topics such as the use of platforms like YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram for educational purposes, content creation, digital engagement, flipped classrooms, and the ethical use of online tools.
College Principal Dr. Maninder Pal Singh emphasized the need for teachers to adapt to emerging digital trends. He stated, “Social media is no longer just a communication tool — it has become a powerful medium for education when used responsibly.”
Participants appreciated the practical and interactive nature of the sessions, which helped them in designing engaging learning experiences for their students. The programme concluded with a valedictory session, where certificates were distributed, and participants shared their positive feedback.
