Deputy Commissioner held a monthly review meeting with district revenue officials
Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/June 10 : Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain chaired the monthly meeting of all revenue officers of the district at the District Administrative Complex today. During the meeting, she instructed Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars to take recovery-related cases seriously and to prepare a list of defaulters so that further action can be initiated.
Reviewing the preparations for the “Easy Registration” portal, the Deputy Commissioner informed that the initiative aims to make the registration process more transparent and user-friendly. She also reviewed the progress of the “Mera Ghar Mere Naam” scheme and discussed the renovation works of tehsil complexes, directing the concerned construction agencies to complete the work within the stipulated time and with assured quality.
DC Jain emphasized the need to expedite tasks such as khasra-wise mapping and the updating of Jamabandi records. She issued instructions for the prompt disposal of pending mutation (intkaal) cases, especially those related to the Water Resources Department, which should be prioritized. While reviewing the PLRS (Punjab Land Records Society) projects, she stressed on the speedy completion of digitization of Musavi (land maps).
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed district land acquisition matters and stated that pending cases should be resolved swiftly while maintaining a balance between the interests of farmers and project agencies. Emphasizing transparency, timeliness, and accountability, Aashika Jain reminded all officials that the revenue system directly affects the common people, and any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.
