Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha /Sept.21 : Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gursimranjeet Kaur on Sunday visited Dana Mandi Nasrala to review the arrangements for the upcoming paddy procurement season. She interacted with officials and staff, stressing that only paddy with less than 17 percent moisture would be procured as per government standards.
The SDM appealed to farmers to bring well-dried paddy to avoid inconvenience and directed mandi officials to ensure drinking water, proper seating, cleanliness, and transparency in operations. She emphasized that timely payment to farmers is a top priority for the administration.
Food Supply Inspector Kuljit Singh Saini, Mandi Supervisor Kulwinder Kaur, and officials from the mandi committee and Riad Trading Company briefed her on the preparations, assuring procurement would be smooth and transparent.
Concluding her visit, SDM Gursimranjeet Kaur assured that the administration is committed to supporting farmers and facilitating hassle-free procurement.
