Hoshiarpur/ May 18/Daljeet Ajnoha : Senior journalist Daljeet Ajnoha had an insightful interaction with SSP Hoshiarpur Sandeep Kumar Malik (IPS), at the Manguwal check post situated on the Punjab-Himachal Pradesh border. This strategic point is one of the crucial locations where continuous vigilance is maintained as part of the Punjab Police’s intensified crackdown on drug trafficking.
During the interaction, SSP Malik emphasized the Punjab Government’s unwavering commitment to a Nasha Mukt Punjab (drug-free Punjab). He revealed that under the guidance of Hon’ble DGP Punjab, Sh. Gaurav Yadav (IPS), the Hoshiarpur Police is actively engaged in Operation Seal, a dedicated initiative to curb the inflow and supply of narcotics across the state borders.
“The operation is a regular and focused effort, ensuring that all routes used for illegal drug transport are closely monitored. Our aim is to completely dismantle the supply chain of narcotics entering Punjab,” SSP Malik stated.
He further added that such initiatives are being carried out consistently, especially at sensitive inter-state check posts like Manguwal, where collaboration with neighboring states is also being strengthened.
The interaction highlighted the proactive approach of Punjab Police and reiterated the state administration’s firm resolve in eradicating drug menace from the roots.
