Special meeting held with Chief

Hoshiarpur : Daljeet Ajnoha :   All the 9 assembly constituencies of Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha constituency are important for me but Chabbewal has a special place for me. I have affection for every village and all the people here, said Lok Sabha member Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal. He further added that I have worked hard for the better development of this constituency, and have tried to provide better infrastructure and better facilities to the residents of the constituency and will continue to do so. Following this ideology, Dr. Raj Kumar held a special meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and sought approval to do some special works for the Chabbewal constituency. Appreciating the provision of canal water to the farmers in the Kandi area, Dr. Raj requested the Chief Minister to keep make such arrangement  on the Bist-Doab Canal passing through Chabbewal constituency also, so that canal water can be made available to the farmers for irrigation. Approval was taken to widen all the roads leading to religious places up to 18 feet and to make the roads leading to the fields concrete ones. Dr Raj also demanded from the Chief Minister to build a big memorial hall in the memory of Jathedar Gurdayal Singh of Akal Takht Sahib of Ajanoha village of Chabbewal constituency and to provide free bus service from Chabbewal to religious places with free food and  accommodation. Dr Raj also demanded to build four big community halls in the name of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar. He also appealed to name the Adampur to Garhshankar via Kot Fatuhi road after Baba Banda Singh Bahadur. Dr Raj told the Chief Minister that Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Chabbewal, Dr Ishank Kumar has also requested that as a grant of Rs 2 crore has already been approved for the thatched roofs in Chabbewal constituency, funds should also be released for the remaining families and 10 thousand new smart ration cards and Ayushman health cards should be made. Young Dr. Ishank also demanded grants for upgradation of stadiums and high-end gym equipment for the youth of his constituency. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann assured Dr. Raj that all these demands are very valid, pro-farmer and pro-poor, on which work will be started as soon as the election code of conduct is lifted. MP Dr. Raj thanked the Chief Minister and said that with the support of the Chief Minister, he along with Dr. Ishank will fulfill the dream of taking the Chabbewal constituency to the heights of progress.
