Regional Transport Officer held a meeting with transporters, police officers and Punjab Roadways officials
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Sept.19 : Regional Transport Officer R.S. Gill held an important meeting with transporters, police officers and Punjab Roadways officials on the issue of chaos of Haryana bus stand. In the meeting, he gave instructions to strictly ban the parking of buses outside the bus stand. He clarified that from now on all buses will only pick up and drop passengers from inside the bus stand. If any bus picks up or picks up passengers outside the bus stand, then the concerned police station in-charge has been instructed to immediately challan and take necessary action.
The Regional Transport Officer also ordered the Punjab Roadways officials to give strict instructions to their drivers that no government bus will pick up or drop passengers from outside the bus stand. This will not only control the crowd outside the bus stand but will also reduce the number of accidents.
SHO Haryana Lomesh Sharma, Welfare Inspector Punjab Roadways Gurmeet Singh, Varun Airy from Gaurav Transport, Gurdeep Singh from Rajdhani Transport and Rajinder Kumar from Kartar Bus Service were also present in the meeting.
