Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha /May 26 : Two students of Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary Model School, Shimla Pahari,
Shweta and Sakshi Behl — won the bronze medal while representing Punjab’s basketball team at the national level.
This historic achievement was secured for the first time for Hoshiarpur district during the recently held Khelo India Youth Games in Patna, Bihar.
The players credited their outstanding performance to the dedicated efforts of district sports department coach Amandeep Kaur.
On this occasion, school president Anurag Sood, Prof. Najam Riyaz from Future Ready Institute, Principal Shobha Rani Kanwar, and Chetna congratulated the players and wished them continued success.
As a token of appreciation for this achievement, the Punjab Government will award the players with a cash incentive of ₹50,000.
