The fifth district Wushu championship

Kapurthala/Daljeet Ajnoha/April 15 :  A meeting was organized by the District Wushu Association Kapurthala at the Fighter Sports Club under the leadership of District Wushu Association Kapurthala General Secretary Gurcharan Singh. In this meeting, Gurcharan Singh informed that the fifth district Wushu (boys and girls) championship 2025 is being organized at Lyallpur Khalsa College Urban Estate Kapurthala on 17 April 2025 under the leadership of Sukhdeep Singh and appealed to the players of all the schools, colleges, clubs of district Kapurthala to participate enthusiastically in the championship. Rajiv Walia, President of District Wushu Association Kapurthala and Youth brigade Sports Welfare Board said that Wushu Championship is going to be organized in Khalsa College with the support of Dr. Baldev Singh, Principal of Lyallpur Khalsa College. He appealed to all the coaches to associate the players with recognized sports so that they can get the right platform in future. He requested the principals and teachers of all the colleges and schools to associate the children with some sport or the other. He told that the players selected in this championship participated in the Wushu State Championship. On this occasion, Professor Dr. Amrik Singh appealed to all the residents of the district to take initiative themselves to eliminate the evil of drug addiction from the society. If every person of the society takes a pledge that he will not let drug addiction take root in his neighborhood and the youth decide that they will not let the youth get addicted to drugs, then the society will definitely be successful in making it drug free. He encouraged all the players to participate enthusiastically in the District Wushu Championship. On this occasion coach Avdesh Kumar, Santokh Singh, Pratap Singh, Sanjeev, Avneet Kaur Dhaliwal, Balwinder Singh, Raj Kumar, Suraj etc. were present.
