Tikshan Sood Slams Rahul Gandhi for “Insulting India Abroad

Senior BJP leader and former Cabinet Minister Tikshan Sood has lashed out at opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, calling his recent remarks at Columbia University “shameful” and “anti-India.”Sood said Gandhi had lost balance after being out of power for long and was unable to digest India’s progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. “While India is on the path to become a developed nation by 2047, Rahul Gandhi seems disturbed by the country’s success,” he added.He accused the Congress leader of deliberately maligning India’s image on foreign soil by repeatedly alleging that Indian democracy is under threat. “Rahul Gandhi forgets that his opposition may be with Modi or BJP, but not with India,” Sood stated.Recalling history, Sood pointed out that it was Rahul Gandhi’s mother Indira Gandhi who imposed Emergency and crushed democracy, and his father Rajiv Gandhi who oversaw the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. “When his family ruled, they amassed huge wealth, while today they roam free only because of India’s strong democracy,” he remarked.Sood said Gandhi avoids making such statements at home to escape public anger, but abroad he spreads lies to weaken India’s global image. “By doing so, he is not only sinking Congress further but has also turned himself into a blot on Indian politics,” Sood declared.
