Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha : Deputy Commissioner-cum-President, District Red Cross Society, Hoshiarpur, Ashika Jain, informed that the recent floods in Punjab have caused extensive damage to crops, livestock, houses, and property. In this difficult time, the district administration and the Red Cross Society are working tirelessly to support the affected families.
She shared that Vardhman A&E Group has contributed ₹6,50,000 to the District Red Cross Society for flood relief. The cheque was handed over by Tarun Chawla (Director, Finance & Administration) and Pradeep Dhadwal (Chief Security Head) to the Deputy Commissioner-cum-President, District Red Cross Society.
Tarun Chawla explained that out of this contribution, ₹5,00,000 was donated by the Vardhman A&E team, while ₹1,50,000 was voluntarily collected by the factory employees from their own salaries. This clearly reflects the active participation of the entire organization and its employees in social service.
Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that the contribution from Vardhman A&E will be utilized to provide essential assistance to flood-affected families. She further highlighted that Vardhman A&E has always been at the forefront of serving the needy, recalling that the company had also made a significant contribution during the floods of 2023.
Expressing heartfelt gratitude to Vardhman A&E, the Deputy Commissioner appealed to other companies, factories, philanthropists, industrialists, educational institutions, and citizens of the district to also come forward and extend their support to flood victims.
