49 NDPS Cases Registered in Chabbewal,

Hoshiarpur/ May 12/Daljeet Ajnoha : DSP Chabbewal Bharat Bhushan Saini, who oversees Chabewal and Mehtiana police stations, shared details of stringent action under the NDPS Act during an exclusive interview with senior correspondent Daljeet Ajnoha.
In line with the Punjab government’s “Yudh Nshiyan Virudh” campaign, police are fully committed to legal action to achieve a drug-free Punjab. Over the past three months, Chabbewal station registered 18 cases under various NDPS Act sections, arresting 19 accused. Seizures included 49 grams of heroin, 1.4 kg of poppy husk, and 553 narcotic pills/capsules.
Mehtiana station registered 31 cases, arresting 33 accused, with 103.88 grams of heroin, 281 narcotic pills/capsules, and Rs 5,150 in drug money recovered.
In total, the two stations logged 49 cases and arrested 52 accused, reflecting robust enforcement efforts.
