GST Reduction – A Diwali Gift

Hoshiarpur/Oct 7 /Daljeet Ajnoha : Under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan, BJP District President Nipun Sharma met with traders in Pragati Lane, Hoshiarpur, as part of a campaign to thank the central government for its recent decision to cut Goods and Services Tax (GST) rates. During the interaction, he and other party workers placed “Thank You Modi Government” stickers on factories to express gratitude for the government’s latest economic reform.Raman Kumar, Chairman of the Pragati Lane Welfare Society, extended heartfelt thanks to the government, describing the decision to reduce GST rates from 12 percent to 5 percent ahead of Diwali as a “historic step.” He said the industrial sector has welcomed the move as a major festive gift for the people.Addressing the gathering, Sharma said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always prioritized the growth of trade and tourism, which he referred to as the backbone of the Indian economy. He added that the GST reduction reflects the Prime Minister’s visionary approach, aimed at providing relief to traders while rejuvenating the national economy.He further noted that the Modi government is consistently implementing reforms designed to empower small and medium enterprises, which in turn are creating new employment opportunities for the youth. “This inclusive vision has made Prime Minister Modi a true partner of every section of society,” Sharma remarked.Sharma also lauded the central government as a protector of traders’ and industrialists’ interests. He stated that the pre-Diwali reduction in GST rates has won the goodwill of both small and large business owners alike.According to local traders, the GST rate cut will not only bring relief to consumers but also accelerate commercial activity.
