Hoshiarpur/May 5/Daljeet Ajnoha : Sarvhitkari School, Bassi Wazid (English Medium) continues to be a beacon of quality education for young children. The annual results declared by the Punjab School Education Board show that all Class 8 students have passed successfully.
School star student Roshni secured first position with 88%, followed by Gursimar Kaur in second place with 86%, and Ananya with 63.1%, bringing immense pride to the school and their parents.
In a meeting held today, the new management committee inspected the renewed and renovated infrastructure. Emphasizing further improvements in facilities for children, the committee has taken wide-ranging steps to introduce extracurricular activities such as sports, quiz contests, and storytelling & poetic recitation at regular intervals. These initiatives aim to develop young minds holistically, enabling them to compete with students from top schools in big cities and metros. A time-bound, phase-wise implementation plan will roll out from next month.
The committee also noted declining interest in book reading among children. To address this, a large collection of fresh books by noted personalities like Swami Vivekananda and modern writers like Sudha Murty will be distributed to enhance students’ talents.
In infrastructure development, the school is adding a small swimming pool, adequate playground, sophisticated black/white boards, comfortable sitting desks, and improved washrooms.
