Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/May 16 :Hoshiarpur District Cricket Association (HDCA) trainees Aryan Arora and Harshit Nanda have brought pride to Hoshiarpur after being selected to represent Punjab in the National Under‑19 Schools Cricket Championship. HDCA secretary Dr. Raman Ghai said the pair played key roles in helping Punjab reach the knockout stages of the tournament held in Mahbubnagar, Telangana, with impressive performances.
Dr. Ghai noted that both players have been training at the HDCA centre for several years, showing dedication and hard work. Aryan Arora has previously been part of Punjab’s Under‑16 side. He added that HDCA’s players train under BCCI‑qualified coaches who are imparting technical skills and discipline, which bodes well for the future of Hoshiarpur cricket.
On their return from the nationals, the HDCA honoured Aryan and Harshit and extended best wishes for their future careers. Present at the felicitation were HDCA president Dr. Daljit Khela, Dr. Pankaj Shiv, Vivek Sahni, Jograj Thakur, Jatinder Sood, Amit Thakur and Sahab Dayal, along with other association members.
The district coaching staff — head coach Daljit Singh, assistant coaches Parveen Shintu, Pankaj Pinka and Dinesh Sharma, women’s coach Davinder Kaur Kalyan, assistant coach Nikita Kumari — and district trainer and former national player Kuldeep Dhami, as well as senior players, congratulated the duo and wished them continued success.
