Faculty Development Programme at LTSU

Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/18 June: Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Transforming Higher Education through Emerging Technologies and Skill-Based Learning” at Lamrin Tech Skills University (LTSU), Punjab, featured a series of insightful sessions. S. Nirmal Singh Rayat, hon’able Chancellor LTSU, acknowledged with delight that the programme continues to provide a dynamic platform for educators to engage with contemporary trends shaping the future of higher education.
The day’s proceedings were graced by the esteemed Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) A.S. Chawla, who emphasized the vital role of educators in driving institutional excellence and preparing students for an increasingly technology-driven world. He encouraged faculty members to embrace innovation, lifelong learning, and interdisciplinary collaboration to strengthen the quality and relevance of higher education.
Prof. Dr. B.S. Satyal, Pro Vice Chancellor, LTSU, on “Philosophy of LTSU: Skill, Scale and Speed; UGC Framework Preparations and NEP 2020.” He elaborated on the University’s guiding principles of Skill, Scale, and Speed, highlighting their role in creating industry-ready graduates.
Prof. Satyal remarked, “Once a teacher, always a teacher,” inspiring faculty members to contribute actively towards academic and institutional growth.
Dr. Simranjit Singh Sidhu, Assistant Professor, Punjabi University, Patiala, delivered an insightful lecture on “Emerging Technologies for Enhancing Research and Innovation.” Dr. Sidhu introduced participants to a range of AI-powered research tools that are transforming literature review, academic writing, data analysis, reference management, and scholarly communication. He also highlighted emerging digital research trends, the significance of industry-academia collaborations, and the role of leading AI research centres in advancing innovation. , he noted, “Artificial Intelligence is not replacing researchers; it is empowering researchers to think bigger, work smarter, and innovate faster.”
Dr. Sushma Saini, NINE, PGIMER Chandigarh,delivered an insightful lecture on “Stress Management.” She provided valuable insights into the various types of stress, their causes, warning signs, and associated health concerns. Discussing the relationship between stress and personality traits, she shared practical strategies for resilience-building, emotional regulation, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance, encouraging participants to prioritize mental well-being alongside professional responsibilities.
