Hoshiarpur crush Kapurthala by 9 wickets

Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Sept 05 : Hoshiarpur’s Under-15 women’s cricket team registered a commanding 9-wicket victory over Kapurthala in their opening match of the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Inter-District One-Day Tournament, played here on Saturday.

Standout performances
Captain Pratika anchored the chase with an unbeaten 35, while Rajlakshmi Verma chipped in with 19 runs to steer Hoshiarpur home well inside the allotted overs.
With the ball, Kashvi Rana led the attack with two wickets, and five other bowlers—Khushi Chadha, Maika Thakur, Anshika, Soni Kumari and Sana—picked up a wicket apiece to restrict Kapurthala to 97.
Vice-captain Soni Kumari and Kashvi were specifically praised for their bowling, while Pratika and Rajlakshmi were highlighted for their batting contributions.

HDCA secretary Dr Raman Ghei, who shared the match details, said the win marked a strong start for Hoshiarpur in the tournament.
