Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha /Feb.21– A grand event was organized today at the Ahmadiyya Mosque, located in Purani Kanak Mandi, to celebrate Musleh Maud Day. On this occasion, a delegation from Qadian, District Gurdaspur, participated under the leadership of Azhar Khadim. Numerous members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat enthusiastically took part in the program.
The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, presented by Ismail. Following this, Azhar Khadim addressed the gathering and highlighted the special significance of this location in Ahmadiyya history. He stated, “Hoshiarpur is renowned for its antiquity and communal harmony. It was in this city that the founder of the Ahmadiyya Jamaat, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Sahib, engaged in rigorous worship (Chilla) for 40 days in the year 1886.”
He further explained that after this period of worship, Allah granted him the glad tidings (prophecy) of the birth of a son, which is known in Ahmadiyya literature as the ‘Prophecy of Musleh Maud.’ Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Sahib published this prophecy on February 20, 1886, on a green-colored paper, mentioning 52 specific attributes of the promised son. According to this prophecy, Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad Sahib was born on January 12, 1889.
Although his early education was limited, he went on to author more than 200 books and led the Jamaat for 52 years through challenging times. Due to his relentless efforts, today the Ahmadiyya Jamaat is established in over 200 countries worldwide.
Among the distinguished guests present on this occasion were Akhtar Hussain Gaddi, Nasir Tariq, Saddam Hussain, and several other prominent individuals.
