Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony Held

The annual prize distribution ceremony of the Government Primary and Middle School, Langeri village, was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the school staff, parents, students, and local residents, in dedication to the 33rd death anniversary of retired teacher Master Bachittar Singh Sangha’s wife, Bibi Manjit Kaur Ji.
The function was presided over jointly by Master Bachittar Singh, Jaspal Singh (UK), Surinder Kaur Sangha, Surinder Singh Sangha (Canada), Harbalraj Singh, Brahjot Singh Sangha, Sukhjit Singh Sangha (Belgium), school head Manjinder Pal, Vijay Kumar, Dr. O. P. Singh, Harbhajan Singh Sangha, Madam Rajinder Sangha, Sukhwinder Kaur Sangha (Belgium), Rajinder Kumar Dhani, and Amar Kumar.
At the outset, Dr. O. P. Singh Hira welcomed all the guests and said that such events are essential to inspire a spirit of competition among children. He also praised Master Bachittar Singh’s scientific outlook and his family’s contribution to social service.
Chief guest Master Bachittar Singh Sangha said that children who are encouraged at an early age can achieve great heights in life. He appreciated the students’ performances and noted that cultural presentations help bring hidden talent to the fore.
The children delivered impactful cultural items carrying messages against excessive use of social media, in favour of loving their homeland, rejecting superstition and fraudulent godmen, adopting scientific thinking, and preserving their rich cultural heritage. At the concluding session, students from Nursery to Class VIII who secured first, second, and third positions, along with those who participated in the cultural programme, were honoured by the delegation.
Brahjot Singh Sangha presented a special award of Rs. 10,000 to Asmita, a student under 13 years of age, who represented Punjab in the National Football League held in Karnataka. A large number of students, parents, and villagers attended the function, including teachers and anganwadi workers Baljit Kaur, Balbir Kaur, Manip Kaur, Rimpi, Raspal Kaur, Jasvir Kaur, Usha Rani, and others.
