Around 500 Patients Avail Free Check-ups, Medicines, and Spectacles
Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/April 26 : A cancer screening and awareness camp was successfully organized at Baba Augarh Shri Fateh nath Girls College, Jaijon, under the leadership of former MP Avinash Rai Khanna and with the significant support of Vardhman Yarns and Threads. The camp aimed to promote awareness about cancer prevention and provide free medical assistance to the public.
Avinash Khanna, who is also the college chairman, said the initiative was held to help prevent cancer and educate people about the disease. He said nearly 500 patients who visited the camp received free check-ups and were made aware of the importance of early detection and prevention.
Khanna added that the contribution of Vardhman Yarns and Threads was substantial, while Dr. Pankaj and his team from Jaipur, along with Dr. Dhillon from World Cancer Care, conducted tests related to nearly 150 other illnesses. Free medicines were distributed to patients, and spectacles were also provided.
Present on the occasion were Pradeep Dadwal and Ash Marwaha from Vardhman Yarns and Threads, members of the Baba Augarh Shri Fateh nath Charitable Trust, the college principal, and other staff members.
