Hoshiarpur/ Daljeet Ajnoha/May 7 :Community Health Centre (CHC) Binne Wal is offering a range of free health services provided by the government, and Senior Medical Officer (SMO) Dr. Nirmal Kumar (MD Medicine) has urged local residents to take full advantage of them. He instructed all ASHA workers to spread detailed information about the hospital’s facilities to villagers through their networks.
Dr. Nirmal Kumar informed that ECG services for heart patients are now available at the hospital, eliminating the need for patients to travel elsewhere. Anyone can visit any day for an ECG test. He added that from Monday to Saturday, he personally conducts check-ups for heart conditions, chest pain, diabetes, paralysis, jaundice, and arthritis, providing free medicines as well.
Additionally, female doctors are available on the first three days of the week—Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday—for women’s health check-ups. ANC (Antenatal Care) patients can get examinations and advice during these days.
Lab tests for blood and urine are conducted every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Dr. Kumar appealed to residents to use these facilities at the hospital instead of private labs. TB sputum tests are performed free every Wednesday and Saturday using the Truenat machine—a test that costs over ₹2,000 in the market.
X-ray services are available round-the-clock in the hospital’s radiology department. SMO Dr. Nirmal Kumar (MD Medicine) once again appealed to the public to benefit from these government health services.
