Baba Barfani Langar Seva Committee

As in previous years, the Baba Barfani Langar Seva Committee (Regd), Mukerian, Hoshiarpur, has dispatched provisions for the langar being run at Baltal during the annual Amarnath Yatra. The consignment was sent from the committee’s Mahilpur branch. officials said.
The send-off took place at Darbar Bapu Ganga Das in Mahilpur, where a havan was performed by a group of devotees before the truck carrying the supplies left for Baltal. The truck, carrying rations for Langar No. 3 — which will run on desi ghee for one month — was flagged off by Mukh sevadar Mandeep Singh Manga Bains.
Committee office-bearers at the Mahilpur branch later felicitated Shiva devotees who had arrived from various places. Speaking jointly, the branch office-bearers said the Mahilpur unit had collected and sent the provisions on behalf of the registered Mukerian committee to support pilgrims at Baltal during the pilgrimage.
Those present at the event included Joginder Pal ‘Pinky’, Anil Kumar Kala, Vicky Agnihotri, Rohit Dhawan, Anurag Handa, Subhash Gautam, Santosh Sharma, Umesh Gautam (Chandigarh), Aman Thakur (Mukerian), Vinod Kumar (Sultanpur Lodhi), Pradeep Kumar (Hoshiarpur), Inspector Paramjit Singh Bains, Ashok Kumar (Garhshankar), Vinod Handa, Master Achhar Kumar Joshi, Jatin Taneja, Dinesh Sharma, Baldev Raj, Kamaljeet Bali, Sanjay Malhotra, Pawan Kumar, Ravi Kharaudi, Gopi Basra, Surinder Pal Sharma, Raj Kumar, Rita Rani, Gagandeep Kaur, Baldev Gauri, Ashok Bali, Pandit Jagpal, Pandit Sahaj Ram, Bhuvan Airi, Dhruv Airi, Ved Rakesh Kumar, Darshan Kumar, Santosh Kumar, Rajiv Kumar Narula, Bhanot and other committee members.
The committee said the desi-ghee-based langar at Baltal — Langar No. 3 — will operate for one month to serve pilgrims undertaking the sacred Amarnath Yatra.
