Census-2027 First Phase Underway at

Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/May 21 : Deputy Commissioner and Principal Census Officer Ashika Jain said the household listing for the first phase of Census-2027 is progressing at a rapid pace across the district and will continue until June 13. She appealed to district residents to extend their full cooperation to the teams deployed for this work.
Issuing directions to the concerned officials, Deputy Commissioner-cum-Principal Census Officer Ashika Jain said trained enumerators and supervisor teams are visiting households to collect data, and this task must be carried out with complete honesty and efficiency.
She said the enumerators and supervisors have been provided identity cards, a mobile app and the required forms, through which they are collecting the necessary information from residents. District residents have been asked to cooperate fully with these teams.
Principal Census Officer Ashika Jain urged people to furnish accurate and complete information to the enumerators so that the census process can proceed in an orderly manner.
Also present on the occasion were Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development)-cum-District Census Officer Nikas Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Dr. Nidhi Kumud Bambah, Assistant Commissioner Captain Gurpreet Kaur, Deputy Economic and Statistics Adviser Sunita Pal, and other officials.
