Hoshiarpur/Daljit Ajnoha : BackfinCo chairman Sandeep Saini today urged the central government to immediately address the demands raised by education reformer Sonam Wangchuk, who is on a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. In a press statement issued here, Saini said Wangchuk was fighting for the nation’s future and that everyone should stand with him in this struggle for humanity.
Saini strongly criticised the central government’s lax attitude toward education, saying it amounted to playing with children’s future. He said the education minister should have resigned on moral grounds over the alleged NEET paper leak. “Instead, intoxicated by power, the central government and its ministers appear interested only in holding on to their chairs,” Saini said.
He added that Wangchuk’s other demands also deserve serious consideration and are a matter of national urgency. Saini accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP of protecting the minister, and called for the minister’s removal in the NEET scandal.
“THE WHOLE COUNTRY STANDS WITH WANGCHUK,” Saini said, asserting that the government’s arrogance would be shattered and that pathways would be created so talented young people would not have to compromise their futures.
