Hoshiarpur/July 31/Daljeet Ajnoha : Former Rajya Sabha MP and senior BJP leader Avinash Rai Khanna has urged the Central Government to take swift and effective action to provide justice to investors who were allegedly defrauded by the Sahara and Pearls (PACL) companies. Taking serious note of the concerns raised by Kulwinder Singh Sangha, President of Vikas Manch Garhshankar, along with Rinku, Raman, and Dr. Soni, Khanna has written to Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, seeking immediate intervention in the matter.
In his letter, Khanna stated that companies such as Sahara and Pearls collected thousands of crores of rupees from millions of investors across the country in the name of investment schemes. However, even after several years, a large number of investors have not received their hard-earned money back, leaving countless families facing financial hardship and growing frustration.
Khanna said that Kulwinder Singh Sangha, President of Vikas Manch Garhshankar, had submitted a memorandum on behalf of the affected investors from the region, highlighting their grievances. Following this, he appealed to Union Home Minister Amit Shah to direct the concerned central agencies to expedite the resolution of cases related to Sahara and Pearls and ensure that eligible investors receive their deposited funds without further delay.
Emphasizing the government’s responsibility to safeguard the lifetime savings of ordinary citizens, Khanna said strict legal action must be taken against companies involved in financial fraud and those responsible for misleading investors. Such measures, he added, would serve as a strong deterrent against similar exploitation of the public in the future.
Expressing confidence in the Central Government, Avinash Rai Khanna said he believes the concerns of the affected investors will be taken seriously and that necessary steps will be taken to ensure they receive justice at the earliest.
