Century Plyboard Employees Donate 111 Units

Hoshiarpur/ May 9/Daljeet Ajnoha : The District Red Cross Society organised a blood donation camp at the local Century Plyboards facility, where employees of the company collectively donated 111 units of blood. The camp was formally inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner-cum-President Ashika Jain.
Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain praised the donors for their spirit, saying blood donation is a noble act that makes a crucial contribution to saving lives in emergency situations. She thanked the entire leadership, staff and management of Century Plyboards for their wholehearted support for the initiative.
The camp was efficiently coordinated by plant head Anoop Sharma, admin head Bhupinder Singh Jaswal, head of manufacturing and R&D Sunil Shekhawat, GM (head commercial) Apoorva Sudani, technical head Upindra Tripathi, HR manager Rohit Sharma, Dr Shivam Angrish (Company Doctor, Century Plyboards), the medical team from the Civil Hospital, the complete Red Cross staff, and Amit Chauhan (Assistant Manager, GR), among others. The Deputy Commissioner presented medals, certificates and cups to honour the donors.
Giving details about the camp, Secretary Mangesh Sood said the Red Cross is conducting continuous first-aid training camps across industries and factories in Hoshiarpur, where participants are also encouraged to donate blood. He added that the Red Cross has launched a new initiative to link the industrial sector with blood-donation drives, and Century Plyboards is the first company to host such a camp. Joint Secretary Adittya Rana and other members of the Red Cross team were also present.
