MP Reviews Flood-Affected Situation at Maili Dam, Sherpur Dhakkon and Hukumatpur

Hoshiarpur MP Dr. Raj Kumar today visited the flood-affected areas of Chabbewal constituency to review relief operations and issued necessary directions to the administration. He first reached village Maili and inspected the rising water level in the Maili Dam. On this occasion, SDM Garhshankar Mr. Sanjeev Kumar was also present with him.
Later, MP Dr. Raj Kumar visited the Dera premises of Sant 108 Harmesh Das Ji Maharaj at village Sherpur Dhakkon, where he inspected the damage caused by heavy rainfall and floods. He directed the officials present on the spot to immediately begin repair works.
Moving forward, the MP met flood-affected families in village Hukumatpur, listened to their grievances, and assured them of all possible assistance. On this occasion, he said, “To tackle the flood situation, the government, administration, and social organizations are fully active. Relief material, health services, and other essential needs are being provided to the affected families. In this difficult time, everyone should maintain mutual harmony and brotherhood and extend support to each other.”
MP Dr. Raj Kumar made it clear that special instructions have been given to the administration so that no family faces inconvenience. He further stated that concrete steps will be taken to prevent such disasters in the future.
He added, “This is a time to become a support for one another. I am personally visiting the affected areas continuously, and it is my priority to ensure that help reaches every person in my constituency.”
