DIG Jalandhar Range shared ideas

Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/9 July :  Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Shri Gaurav Yadav IPS Director General of Police Punjab under the compaign being conducted by CM pb.  to eradicate drugs in the state of Punjab  under the able guidance of Shri Harmanbir Singh Gill IPS Deputy Inspector General of Police, Jalandhar Range, Jalandhar,  Komal Mittal IAS District Magistrate, Hoshiarpur, (Chairmanship)Shri Surender Lamba IPS Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur and officers of various departments of civil administration (like Education Department, Health Department, Sports Department, Agriculture Department, Red Cross Society, Food and Drug Administration Punjab, District Welfare Officer, Forest Department etc.) shared views with officers of various departments at Administrative Complex, Hoshiarpur and gave necessary guidelines for the elimination of drug abuse. On this occasion SSP Hoshiarpur Surender Lamba shared the details of the action taken against drug abuse in the district from 01-06-2024 to 30-06-2024, who informed that during June-2024, a total of 83 cases were registered under the NDPS Act by various police stations of district Hoshiarpur and 108 accused were arrested and out of 34 cases registered under the NDPS Act, 42 other accused were named under Section 29 NDPS Act. In the cases registered under the NDPS Act, 02 POs were arrested and narcotics were recovered from the arrested accused.
