Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/May 22 : District Public Relations Officer of Hoshiarpur, Hardev Singh Aasi, and Tanda Incharge of Eye Donation Association Hoshiarpur, State Awardee Bhai Barinder Singh Masiti, said during a special interaction that every individual should donate blood while alive and pledge to donate their eyes after death.
Bhai Barinder Singh Masiti explained that the eyes of a deceased person can be donated within 4 to 6 hours of death. He said that two blind individuals can gain vision from one eye donation. He further informed that the Eye Donation Association Hoshiarpur has been continuously running awareness campaigns since the year 2000 to educate people about blood donation during life and eye donation after death.
Bhai Masiti added that the Eye Donation Association Hoshiarpur is currently being efficiently managed by District President Manmohan Singh, Secretary Baljit Singh, and Chairman Bahadur Singh Sunet. He said that the organization has helped many visually impaired individuals regain their sight through free surgeries conducted by specialist doctors.
On this occasion, DPRO Hardev Singh Aasi highly appreciated the initiative taken by the Eye Donation Association Hoshiarpur. Assistant Public Relations Officers Lokesh Chaubey and Rajneesh Kumar Guliani were also present.
