Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Oct.15 : Former Member of Parliament Avinash Rai Khanna has strongly condemned the abduction, forced religious conversion, and sexual assault of a minor Hindu girl in Pakistan. Expressing deep concern, Khanna has written to External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, urging the Government of India to take immediate steps to help the victim and ensure strict punishment for the culprits.According to reports, the incident took place in Mirpurkhas, Sindh province, where a 15-year-old Hindu girl was allegedly kidnapped, forcibly converted to Islam, and married off to an elderly Muslim man who then assaulted her. The victim has reportedly appeared before a sessions court in Sindh, pleading to be reunited with her family. Khanna stated that the girl’s appeal has raised hopes that with India’s intervention, justice may be served for this persecuted minority girl in Pakistan.
