Swami Uday Giri Ji appeals for wholehearted support and registration to become Yajman in the historic Mahayagya starting from February 19, 2026
Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/August 05 :
As part of the ongoing 40-day religious celebrations during the sacred month of Sawan, a spiritual gathering was held today under the guidance of Swami Uday Giri Ji at Shri Siddheshwar Shiv Mandir, Bassi Gulam Hussain. The event began with Rudrabhishek performed by devotees, followed by the distribution of maal-poode (traditional sweets) as part of a community feast (bhandara).
On this occasion, Swami Uday Giri Ji announced the commencement of a historic 1101-Kund Rudra Koti Mahayagya at the temple starting from February 19, 2026, which will be organized with the support of the local devotees and community. He emphasized that this grand Yagya is being conducted for the welfare of humanity, peace in the world, and purification of the environment.
Temple devotee Anurag Sood also appealed to the public to come forward and support the Mahayagya in every possible way and register themselves as Yajman (spiritual contributors) for this sacred event. He stated that Swami Uday Giri Ji Maharaj has always been dedicated to humanitarian and selfless service. The ashram continuously runs a free community kitchen (langar), supported by villagers and devotees alike.
Anurag Sood also highlighted Swami Ji’s message, saying that in today’s era, when the world is on the brink of destruction due to conflicts and war-like situations, the ancient Vedic practice of Yagya is the only way to restore peace and safeguard humanity. Yagyas also play a vital role in purifying the environment.
Preparations for this rare and divine Yagya have already begun at a war-footing level, making it one of the most spiritually significant events in the region.
