Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/jan.24 : Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, who is the District Election Officer, has bagged the state award for the Best Electoral Practices from the Election Commission. The award will be conferred on 15th National Voter’s Day i.e. January 25, 2025.
The District Administration on Friday received a communique in this regard from the Chief Electoral Office stipulating Deputy Commissioner’s name for Overall best electoral practices.
Referring to this rare feat, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal gave the credit of the achievement to entire officials involved in the election process in the district. She said that the award reflects the hard work, dedication and zeal of the officials, who ensure the free, fair and peaceful poll process as well as carrying out the election related activities efficaciously at the grassroots level. She also commended the officials for systematic and sustained voter’s awareness programs, which were yield results in term of voter participation throughout the district.
The Deputy Commissioner also urged the officials to keep the enthusiasm, to make voters further educate and aware, a continuous process in future too. She also thanked the Chief Electoral Office for time-to-time guidance and support in launching election related activities.
