Hoshiarpur/Oct 10/Daljeet Ajnoha : Hoshiarpur MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa on Saturday inaugurated five newly constructed roads in Wards No. 8 and 9, built at a cost of ₹71.28 lakh. The improved road network is expected to ease movement of residents and strengthen civic infrastructure in the area.
Addressing the gathering, Jimpa said development works were being prioritised across various wards of the city to provide better civic amenities to residents. He said road construction was an important component of urban development, as it eased daily commuting and improved basic infrastructure.
The MLA said efforts were being made to undertake development works in every ward according to people’s needs. He directed the concerned officials to maintain the quality of development projects and ensure that works were completed as per prescribed standards. He added that providing better facilities and resolving public issues remained among his priorities.
Local residents expressed hope that the completion of the road works would bring much-needed relief and improve connectivity in their localities. Jimpa assured that necessary development works for the city would continue, so that residents of Hoshiarpur could get better basic amenities.
He also appealed to residents to cooperate in monitoring development works and contribute towards making the city clean, beautiful and well-equipped.
