Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/April 20 : During the sixth day of the Shrimad Bhagwat Saptahik Katha Gyan Yajna being held at Roshan Ground from April 14 to 20, Sadhvi Sushri Vaishnavi Bharti, disciple of Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, narrated the Mathura departure leelas of Lord Krishna. The event is being organized by Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan, with the discourse scheduled daily from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm
She described how, on Kansa’s command, Akrur set out toward Vrindavan to take Krishna and Balram to Mathura. As news of Krishna’s departure spread, the entire village gathered at Nand Baba’s courtyard, and the gopis and gopas bade an emotional farewell, leaving the lanes of Vrindavan by sorrow and longing.
***Spiritual Message**
Quoting the emotional essence of the katha she said that a body without life loses its vitality, and that Krishna was the very pran and soul of Vrindavan; when He left for Mathura, the village seemed empty and bereft of life. She further explained that Krishna’s move to Mathura was for the establishment of dharma, and that He ended Kansa’s tyrannical rule by killing him and restoring the kingdom to Ugrasen.
She added that this victory symbolized the triumph of truth, justice, and righteousness, echoing the proclamation of “Satyamev Jayate.” Drawing a parallel with national duty, she said that protecting the nation is not violence but valor, and recalled the sacrifice of brave freedom fighters such as Mangal Pandey, whose martyrdom ignited the flame of revolution in North India.
