India will again become Jagadguru’/

Tikshan sud, yashpal sharma and others warmly welcomed

Hoshiarpur/ Sept 14 /Daljeet Ajnoha Premavatar, Yugdrashta and Sri Hari Kripa Peethadhishwar, the globally revered saint Swami Hari Chaitanya Puri Ji Maharaj, today addressed a large gathering of devotees at Indira Colony here, asserting that “India will once again be established as Jagadguru (teacher of the world)” if citizens shed narrow-mindedness, uphold unity and prioritise duty alongside rights.
Call for national unity and global peace
Speaking to devotees who had gathered from Hoshiarpur and far-flung areas, Maharaj said while he stands for “universal brotherhood and the welfare of the world”, the first priority must be the prosperity and happiness of Mother India. He urged citizens to abandon all forms of divisiveness and not allow “mean, vile and hateful conspiracies” aimed at splitting the nation and society to succeed.
“Everyone today is very alert about their rights—we have no objection to that—but we also have duties towards family, locality, nation and society, and we must fulfil them,” he said, calling for introspection on each person’s contribution to the country’s rise, development and peace.
Warning to Pakistan, message to China
In a sharp message to neighbouring Pakistan, Swami Hari Chaitanya Puri said Islamabad must abandon its “unholy designs”, accusing it of keeping India under an “undeclared state of war” for decades through infiltration, terror attacks and running terrorist training camps, and adding that “as always, it will have to eat humble pie” if such acts continue.
He also cautioned China, stating: “This is not the India of the past; today our military strength is very strong in the world.” Emphasising India’s traditional ethos, he said India has never sought war—wars have been imposed on it—and that the country believes in “Sarve bhavantu sukhinah” (let all be happy) and universal brotherhood, desiring peace not only on Earth but across the cosmos.
Social issues: cow protection, female foeticide, commercialisation
Maharaj described the plight of cows and cow-slaughter in a country where Lord Rama and Lord Krishna had established the glory of cow service and worship as “shameful”, demanding a complete ban. He similarly condemned female foeticide in a land where Kanya Pujan is performed twice a year during Navratri and on other auspicious occasions, calling the declining sex ratio a matter of serious concern and urging stricter laws and wider social awareness.
He lamented the “commercialisation” of religious discourses, yoga, Ayurveda, healthcare and education, noting that while religious rituals (kathas, pravachans, yajnas, pilgrimages) have increased, righteous conduct (aacharan) has not risen proportionately. “Religion is not merely about rituals but about conduct,” he said, appealing that complex social problems should be resolved in an atmosphere of mutual love and harmony rather than being politicised.
Grand reception in Hoshiarpur; earlier stops in Chandigarh, Rupnagar, Garhshankar
On arrival in Hoshiarpur, Swami Hari Chaitanya Puri was given a grand welcome by local dignitaries including Tikshan Sud, Yashpal Sharma and others, as devotees thronged to seek his darshan and hear his divine discourse. The atmosphere turned devotional as chants of “Shri Guru Maharaj”, “Kaman ke Kanhaiya” and “Lathi wale Bhaiya” echoed through the venue.
Before reaching Hoshiarpur, thousands of devotees in Chandigarh, Rupnagar and Garhshankar had also welcomed him with flower garlands, pushp varsha (flower showers) and aarti, raising similar slogans in what organisers described as an unprecedented reception.
