Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/August 5: MLA Bram Shanker Jimpa on Wednesday called on Aam Aadmi Party’s National Convener Arvind Kejriwal at New Delhi to express gratitude for ‘Ex Shaam Bhagwan Shiv Ke Naam’ at Hoshiarpur on August 12 besides flagging off buses to different religious places.
After meeting National Convener Arvind Kejriwal, MLA Bram Shanker Jimpa said that he personally thanked Party Supremo for devotional programme, ‘Ek Sham Bhagwan Shiv Ke Naam’, in Hoshiarpur on August 12, in which Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Arvind Kejriwal will join as devotees. He said it was also a welcome initiative that on same day buses under Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Scheme would be flagged off to Mathura-Vrindavan, Haridwar, Shri Salasar Balaji and other prominent religious places, enabling devotees to undertake pilgrimages free of cost.
Providing more details, Hoshiarpur MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa said he met Kejriwal in New Delhi regarding devotional event ‘Ek Sham Ek Shiv Ke Naam’, which has received an overwhelming response across the state.
Jimpa said the Punjab Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Scheme has also become one of the government’s most appreciated endeavours bringing devotees to sacred places with dignity and convenience. He said the scheme had fulfilled the dreams of many people who otherwise could not afford such pilgrimages. He further said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government had transformed governance by giving priority to education, healthcare, employment, women’s welfare and social security. He added that transparent, corruption-free and people-centric governance is benefiting every section of society.
Expressing confidence that the August 12 programmes would be a memorable occasion for Hoshiarpur, Jimpa said the event would further strengthen the bond between the people and the Punjab Government. He appealed to residents to participate in large numbers and make the devotional programme a grand success. He said that the AAP Government had fulfilled its all major guarantees in larger public interests besides ensuring development of the state to the new heights.
