Hoshiarpur /Daljit Ajnoha/Nov.18 : A crucial meeting was held today to review and finalize the preparations for the Nagar Kirtan to be organized in commemoration of the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The meeting was chaired by Member of Parliament Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal and MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar Chabbewal, with prominent members of the Sant Samaj participating in the discussion. SDM Hoshiarpur, Gursimranjeet Kaur, was also present on the occasion.During the meeting, the MP and MLA, along with members of the Sant Samaj, reviewed in detail the Nagar Kirtan route passing through the Chabbewal Assembly constituency. They examined arrangements related to crowd management, security, reception points, and langar (community kitchen) sites. Officials were directed to ensure timely completion of cleanliness, power, water, healthcare, and traffic management facilities to avoid any inconvenience to devotees.MP Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that the martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji stands as a supreme message of sacrifice for humanity and the protection of faith. He emphasized that this sacred celebration will be marked with complete devotion, discipline, and excellent management. He also appreciated the cooperation of religious organizations, stating that their participation is vital for the success of the event.MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar assured that all necessary arrangements along the Nagar Kirtan route will be completed on priority. He added that with the coordination of the administration and police, the arrangements will be implemented efficiently. He also informed that at various locations along the route, reception points, water stations, and langar services will be set up.Both the MP and MLA jointly stated that the occasion symbolizes devotion and unity in society, and no aspect of the event will be left unattended. Thanking the participating religious bodies and administrative officers, they expressed confidence that with collective efforts, this Nagar Kirtan will become a historic and exemplary celebration.Prominent among those present were Sant Balbir Singh (Haryana), Sant Harmanjeet Singh (Singariwal), Sant Makkhan Singh (Tutomajra), Sant Nagar Singh (Haryan Bellan), Sant Sukkha Singh (Pirbala), Sant Mahavir Singh (Tajewal), Sant Balbir Singh (Tutomajra), Sant Karamjeet Singh (Tibba Sahib), Sant Balraj Singh (Jiyan), and Sant Onkar Singh.
