Discussion regarding the cases to be placed during the National Lok Adalat

As per the guidelines of the National Legal Services Authority, Hon’ble Supreme Court, New Delhi, following the orders of Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, the third National Lok Adalat of the year 2024 will be organized on September 14 at the district and sub-division level under the leadership of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority Hoshiarpur Dilbag Singh Johal. In this regard, CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Hoshiarpur Raj Pal Rwal held a meeting with officials of various departments and bank managers today at the new District and Sessions Court Complex, Hoshiarpur. During this meeting, discussions were held with all the concerned officials regarding the cases to be placed during the National Lok Adalat.
During this, all BDPOs were instructed to do maximum publicity in villages about the National Lok Adalat. Along with this, bank managers were instructed to file maximum number of cases in this Lok Adalat and traffic in-charge was instructed to send pending challans to the court through this Lok Adalat. Matters were also discussed with the Executive of Electricity Department. Junior Assistant Officer of BSNL, Paramveer Singh told the Assistant Officer of Insurance Companies on pre-litigation cases and M.A.C.T pending cases that maximum number of cases should be settled in Lok Adalat so that people can get the benefit of this Lok Adalat.
The concerned officers participating in this meeting were instructed by the Secretary District Legal Services Authority to publicize the benefits of Permanent Lok Adalat (Public Utility Services) to the maximum extent.
