Orders to keep liquor and meat shops closed on the route during Nagar Kirtan in Hoshiarpur city
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Feb.10 : The district administration has declared a half-day holiday in the afternoon in all government/private schools, colleges and educational institutions of the district in view of the Nagar Kirtan on the occasion of Prakashotsav of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji on February 11.
According to the orders issued by Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Rahul Chaba in this regard, liquor shops and meat shops located on the route of Nagar Kirtan/Shobha Yatra in Hoshiarpur city will also remain closed. It is noteworthy that these holiday orders will not be applicable to those schools/colleges where board/university/college examinations are being conducted on the said date.
