Players selected in the state

Kapurthala/Daljeet Ajnoha/June 8 : The 27th State Level Junior Senior Wushu Championship was organized by the District Wushu Association of Kapurthala at Shri Sanatan Dharma Sabha Kapurthala. Rajiv Walia, President of the District Wushu Association of Kapurthala and Youth Sports Welfare Board, said that on June 1, 2025, Rana Inder Pratap Singh (MLA Sultanpur Lodhi) arrived as a special guest in the championship to boost the morale of the players. Rana Inder Pratap Singh congratulated the teams participating in the championship and inspired the players to move forward in sports. Rajiv Walia, President of the District Wushu Association of Kapurthala and members of his team thanked Rana Inder Pratap Singh for giving his valuable time in the championship and honored him by presenting a memento. Rajiv Walia told that the selected players of this championship participated in the national championship. During the championship, special guest Ranjit Singh Khojewal, District President BJP, came to give his blessings to the players. Ranjit Singh Khojewal motivated all the players who came to participate in the championship to perform well and said that the objective of this program organized by Rajiv Walia and his team is to accelerate the physical, mental and social development of children and to encourage leadership skills, team spirit and self-confidence through sports. He said that the events being organized from time to time to connect the youth with sports are proving to be inspiring. He said that children in all schools and colleges should definitely devote one hour to sports and said that the government should also provide financial help. He said that players should bring glory to their country and district. Ashok Singh Jamwal, Roshan Lal Sabharwal, Dr. were present on this occasion. Sarabjit Singh, famous Punjabi musician Satti, Rajesh Sharma (MD Power Club), Kulwinder Singh Maan arrived to give their blessings to the players. Ranjit Singh Khojewal honoured the winning players by giving them medals. Rajiv Walia, Prof. Amrik Singh, Jaspal Singh Panesar, Gurcharan Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Rajdeep Singh, Paramjit Singh presented mementoes to all the special guests and thanked them for attending the championship. Daljit Singh, Ashwani Rajput, Sher Singh Nandra, Anuj Anand, Hardeep Singh Kang, Parminder Singh, Sanjay Sharma, Somnath, Darshan Singh Bajwa, Varun Kumar, Avneet Kaur Dhaliwal, Gurveer Kaur, Mannat, Ranjit Kaur, Baljinder Kaur, Prince Kaul, Avdesh Kumar, Pradeep Bajaj, Lovepreet Singh were present on this occasion.
