Pre-Lok Adalats Organized in Hoshiarpur

Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/May 12 : The Supreme Court of India launched the “Samadhan Samarooh” on April 21, 2026, which will culminate in a special Lok Adalat on August 21, 22, and 23, 2026. Following directives from the Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, district legal services authorities have been instructed to hold pre-Lok Adalats to settle pending Supreme Court cases through mutual consent and compromise.
Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Neeraj Goyal, informed that summons have been issued to relevant parties based on the list of cases received from the Supreme Court and the head office in SAS Nagar. Pre-Lok Adalats are being organized at district and sub-divisional levels to facilitate resolutions. These courts will be presided over by District and Sessions Judge Rajinder Agarwal.
The Secretary stated that the authority will conduct these pre-Lok Adalats continuously until May 31, 2026. If both parties agree to a settlement, the report will be sent to the head office in SAS Nagar for final disposal during the special Lok Adalat at the Supreme Court on August 21-23.
Neeraj Goyal appealed to residents whose cases are pending in the Supreme Court and related to Hoshiarpur district to participate in the pre-Lok Adalats and avail maximum benefits. Cases in Lok Adalats are resolved by mutual consent, saving time and money while promoting harmony and brotherhood
