Punjabi will not tolerate any

Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Anjoha/May 13 : Baltej Pannu, Punjab state media in-charge of the Aam Aadmi Party, has condemned the BJP-led Central government’s decision to make Sanskrit compulsory and Punjabi optional in Army schools in Punjab, calling it reflective of an anti-Punjab mindset.
Pannu said the BJP has been consistently trying to encroach upon Punjab’s rights and heritage, but the people of the state will never tolerate such moves. He added that the party’s anti-Punjab decisions have repeatedly become a matter of debate and controversy.
He clarified that the party is not against any language, but said it is unacceptable to relegate Punjabi to a secondary status on Punjab’s own soil. Warning the Centre, Pannu said the government should immediately roll back what he described as a public- and Punjab-unfriendly decision.
