Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Nov. 11 : The Department of Paramedical Sciences of Rayat Bahra University organised an educational tour for the students of BSc (MLS) fifth semester to DMC Hospital, Ludhiana. The aim of this visit was to provide practical experience to the students in the healthcare sector and to familiarise them with the roles and responsibilities of various medical professionals. The tour was organised under the guidance of Director Principal Dr Harinder Singh Gill.
Giving information in this regard, Department Incharge Dr Sukhmeet Bedi said that at DMC Hospital, the students were taken on a tour of various departments of the hospital including emergency room, ICU, radiology department, biochemistry lab, haematology lab, microbiology lab, pathology lab, blood bank and collection centre. He said that during this time, the students were given information about the functioning of each department, the equipment used and various medical procedures by experienced medical professionals. During this time, the students got the opportunity to interact with the medical staff and see them working.
Dr Sukhmeet said that the main attraction of this educational tour was the demonstration of medical laboratories and radiology operating rooms, where students were introduced to various medical equipment and their correct use. This tour provided students with practical knowledge and detailed experience of the skills required in the industry. On this occasion, Prof Pooja, Prof Saqib also experienced this tour with the students.
